How to submit a Contribution
All papers and proposals must be submitted electronically using the IFAC PaperPlaza conference manuscript management system:

First Step: Choose the type of submission
When submitting a contribution to IFAC IAMES 2024, the contributor is first asked to choose among the types of submissions:
- Special Session proposals are invited to the IFAC IAMES 2024. The topics of the proposed special sessions should fall within the scope of the conference The proposals should be no more than two-pages in length. Deadline:
January 15, 2024February 15, 2024 - Regular papers will have 6 pages length limitation in acceptance. Authors may upload longer manuscripts up to a maximum of 8 pages total. However, each page over 6 will incur an additional overlength page charge. At the time of initial submission, regular papers can be up to 8 pages for review. Deadline:
February 16, 2024 February 29,2024March 8, 2024 - Discussion papers are introduced to encourage participation, especially from industry and from colleagues outside the traditional academic control community. Such papers should be submitted in the form of extended abstracts, typically between 2 and 4 pages in length. Discussion papers will appear only in the congress preprints, not in the congress proceedings Deadline: March 15, 2024)

Second Step: Input paper information
At the second step, the contributor is asked to fill in a form with the following items:
For Special session Proposal
- The title of the Special session
- The names and contact details of the organizers
- A description of the scope of and motivation for the special session
For papers
- Title of the contribution
- Authors
- Theme (among the IFAC technical areas)
- List of keywords associated to the selected theme.
- Abstract of the contribution
Third Step: Preparing the manuscript
At the third and final step of submission, the contributor uploads his/her contribution that should fulfill the format constraints (use the IFAC paper format ).
All submissions must be written in English and prepared according to the IFAC format.

Best young paper award IAMES 2024
The prize is for the best paper at the IFAC IAMES 2024 of an author younger than 30 years by May 28th, 2024. The author should be the first and should also present the results during the Workshop. The prize and a certificate are awarded at the social dinner of the Workshop. Nominations may be made by the supervisor or colleagues of the young author (no self-nominations) and should include a
The nomination form must contain a clear statement indicating that the nominee is younger than 30 years by May 28th, 2024 at the date of the submission. The nomination form should be submitted using the IFAC PaperPlaza conference manuscript management system (http://ifac.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/start.pl). For the age criterion motivated exemptions can be taken into account under certain specific circumstances. Papers authored by members of the Selection Committee are not eligible. The nomination phase will start on April 15th, 2024 and close on May 17th, 2024. The IFAC IAMES Young Author Prize Selection Committee determines based on the gathered reviews and on their own reading of the paper a short list of finalists, and notifies authors. The winner is determined at the time of the Workshop, based on both the written paper and the oral presentation that should be given by the nominee.
